it should of course be faster. I can't tell why it's not, just like that.
USE_ONE_SHOT_PREVIEW should be true. it will reduce the frame rate of the
camera, so that no unnecessary memory will be allocated. the visible frame rate
will increase as the garbage collector will kick in less often.
