I was a research fellow in a Digital signal processing working group at Fachhochschule Kiel: University of Applied Sciences and worked in multiple research projects.
We mainly built Autonomous underwater vehicles, but also did other stuff.
E.g. I developed a tracker for fish in sonar images, integrated a Doppler velocity log into a vehicle, worked on Inertial navigation systems, wrote a Python wrapper for a C/C++ Sonar SDK etc.
However, I'm interested in a lot of things, here are (a few of) my personal interests:
- Logic
- Cognitive science (see e.g. Cognitive neuroscience)
- Metacognition
- Systems theory
- Mathematics (see e.g. 'New method to compute square roots' on MathOverflow (Analysis) or 'Counting perfect powers using primes' on MathOverflow (Number theory) to get a glimpse at my private research)
- Computer science (see e.g. Lean (which I haven't learned, yet))
- Psychology
- Artifical intelligence (e.g. to be used to help answer questions like How can it be feasible to find proofs?)
- Philosophy
- Photography (see e.g. my homepage)
The order implies a 'monotonically decreasing' prioritization.
