Barrel Race is a rodeo event in which a horse starts at a gate, completes a clover leaf pattern around 3 barrels, and returns to the gate. The objective is to do the same in the quickets time, without knocking over any of the barrels. Hitting the fence would add a penality of 5 seconds. This android game simulates the Barrel race event. The horse is controlled using the device's accelerometer.

This app is used to remotely monitor critical sensor data using an Android device. This has application in various areas like chemical laboratories, for example, for monitoring temperature of sensitive vaccines. When left unattended, the server automatically broadcasts warnings to registered mobile devices when abnormal conditions are detected. When completed, it has the potential to be adopted into even more appropriate applications. The Google Cloud Messaging service is used for broadcasting warnings as push notifications.
