I think its somewhat by design however parts of it are not as smooth as they can be

ooh, the play button is intended to be like that but if you don't like it I can revert it.
Edit: I have changed the size of the play button is it okay now?

Hmm I think for a mobile device its ok to be like that

I have removed the play button but I would recommend you to have Logos for your TV shows and movies for a better experience
