Hi,

We have form that has values pre-defaulted for some of the input fields. Floated Labels don't appear for these fields. In order make it work properly we have remove the text and start typing again.

Is it possible to have float labels show up for the input controls that have a value already in them at the time of form rendering?

Would be great to also add floatlabels to selects.

Please add custom event listener to detect input value change (example use case is scope change in Angular)

In Chrome when the focus is set to the input field it increases a bit in height then return back to normal. This happen as long as you type too so the result is an annoying jerky movement to the field and the surrounding content. Check the attached gif

I think the issue is caused by a change in the top and bottom margin. Check this out while Chrome devtools is opened

I have a form for which inputs are having half width and are sticking together to each other in a same row. This plugin results in overlap of floated labels.

First of all I really like this plugin, its really smooth and clean looking.
Basically I have a form where the plugin works perfectly until, I add an additional field with a JS function. (A button to add an additional field.)
I believe it doesnt work on these newly generated fields because they dont have the label-wrapper, that I think gets generated on Page Load. Is there any way to trigger it to build a wrapper when I am adding the new fields?

It would be great if the script would not use inline styles so you could customize it with CSS.

My suggestion:
Instead of inline styles you could apply classes.
Default styles could be provided with a separate floatlabels.css.

I would like the label to show in a field in ie when the field has focus and is empty since the placeholder is hidden in that case in ie. Is that possible?

It’s better for accessibility and progressive enhancement if you start with a label element instead of dynamically creating one from a data-label with JS.

I use floatlabel in JavaScript applications, and would like to destroy/remove floatlabel, when the label is removed from the page.

It doesn't look like floatlabel supports that. Are there any plans for that later?

The file floatlabels.min.js has old version of floatlabels.js and requires updating.

We're using rails-assets.org for getting our js-assets. Can you tag the current version? Otherwise we're getting the follow error-message:
clubdesign/floatlabels.js has no versions defined. Please create an issue in component's repository.
