Just tested again. Used an old version and everything is fine. Replace with the 1.3 download and everything stops working. I didn't change any application code between runs.

I'm afraid I can't reproduce this at all. I just tried running the sample app with the 1.3 binary and it works just fine.
Are you retaining the PTPusher client returned by pusherWithKey:? If not, its going to be autoreleased before anything useful happens.
