I've had a few reports regarding issues over 3G and it seems that it boils down to an issue with web sockets and transparent caching proxies at the network end.
The solution is to use SSL and I plan to add support for this to libPusher soon.

I have similar problems, could you elaborate on the possible solution please?
from libpusher.
At the moment, the solution is to use Pusher over HTTPS which will ensure the caching proxy is bypassed. SSL support needs to be added to libPusher in order for this to work, but feel free to fork and send a pull request if you can patch this functionality in.

I've received a patch (was it from you royiby?) which I intend to test and integrate soon. Fingers crossed!

yes it was from me, hope it will be up to your standards.

So to force Pusher to use ssl you just set the encrypted option to true?

That's correct.
