It looks like default_target_installer
here isn't defined.

libPusher is currently running on a non-stable version of CocoaPods.
There have been a flurry of changes lately but it should still work with CocoaPods HEAD.
Run bundle install
followed by bundle exec pod install
from libpusher.
I'm also considering adding the Pods directory to version control to make this easier for contributors. Hopefully CocoaPods will have better (automated) git submodule integration in the future which would mean I could do this without bloating my own repository. I'll talk to @alloy about the best way of approaching this.

Success! I think a note in the Readme about using bundler to do it is plenty.

Glad it worked. I'll think about it re: adding Pods to Git. I know @alloy does it for some of his projects. To people who don't use Ruby, bundler
is yet another possible hurdle.

BTW, there are some notes on how to compile locally in the wiki. (at the bottom)

True. I still couldn't get the project to build a sub project. Moving back to the downloads...

Nice. Hadn't seen that wiki page. Is it possible to build as a subproject?
