Looks easy but I will need to take it step by step. :)
We want to use https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons
and it would make sense to create a new file (blog.html
) in www/_templates since we want this Twitter button only for blog posts, not for the global website.
So...
from pyladies.
Yep! that's the button.
But this could go very easily into www/_templates/post.html - I think this is what you're thinking of with blog.html
, it just already exists :)
@mkcor are you going to own this? or leave it to someone else to do? (either way is fine - just want to be clear)
from pyladies.
@econchick Great, indeed, I'll use post.html
then! :)
I'm willing to own this. But I'm having build issues on a new machine... In the past there was a trick or omission in the doc and @jvns showed me a way around. ;)
I'm getting an error at step 5: (PyLadies) $ mynt gen -f _site && mynt serve _site
with jinja2.exceptions.TemplateNotFound: default.html
and indeed I don't see any default.html
file in the pyladies
tree...
from pyladies.
@mkcor - great! I'll assign you this issue then so no one else grabs it.
Regarding your error - are you within the www
directory?
from pyladies.
Crap I can't assign you this issue because you're not an admin. I'll assign it to me just so no one else picks it up.
from pyladies.
@econchick Oh, yeah!! It works now. I may forget again next time... :p

@mkcor pppshhh don't worry if it does - always tripping myself up too. It's more frustrating when you say to yourself "gah, I was able to get this to work before!"
