alive? about joomla-openfire-integration

Hmmmm... we got some trouble when integrating this plugin to joomla 2.5
Anybody know how to integrate Openfire with Joomla 2.5 users?
Lil bit confusing, bcause I can auth my Android App user ti joomla easyly. How 
about Openfire?

The Openfire extensions drastically need updating so anyone using Joomla 2.5.x 
and above it will not work correctly. I put in an inquiry I think last year 
regarding this extension and I keep checking back from time to time, but there 
has been no progress for some time now. Whether there will be updates I can't 
be absolute other than to tell you all that the author told me they would get 
to it sometime and it's been so long I can't even remember when they said they 
would get around to it.

At this point we can only hope the project hasn't been abandoned because these 
extensions are really nice and Sparkweb is getting some love and there are new 
projects emerging for Openfire too.
