I was thinking of adding options for tiling/scaling images in 1/2 directions as well as drawing the image on top of some simpler gradients etc. Is this what do you mean by "background overlay"?

P.S. Seems that you have found a lot of bugs / places to improve for QtCurve. Thank you very much for reporting them. However, as I have said, I'm not really ready for adding more options and are still learing the code myself. Therefore, I'm afraid I cannot fix all of them very soon.

P.P.S. I don't really understand some of your reports. I'll try my best to figure that out and also let you know if sth is not so clear for me. In general, it will be helpful to include screenshots as well as highlighting the related region and/or comparasion of working/not working ones.

With background overlay i mean i mean currently existing option, which adds either circle or square rings or custom image, but only in single instance. To get it for big window in hardcurve theme, posted in kde-look, i just made it as big as screen to hope, that it will fill entire window.

Thus currently there is choise: either use tiled, but completed (i.e., with full color information) color-unaware image, or mentioned overlay in single instance.

Again about mentioned hardcurve: image, used for overlay, is noise, which i converted so, that instead of greyscale pixels with constant transparency there are black and white pixels with different transpareny, what makes it looking like some shader (makes surface relief, completely saving its color).
