Should now be fixed in the CI release.

As a workaround until real fix comes you can try to add "//chords" suffix to a chords line.
Like this:

Verse
ø      M         +     ø //chords
This is a random line of song

It should work on 2018.1 version

I tried it on the 2018.0 version and it worked.
I'm going to use this temporarily.
