Consider helpers API about pillar

Skimr actually was using the exported functions, though from the Pillar perspective it makes total sense to unexport and switch to helpers. Do you think you will do the helpers? Otherwise we will have to come up with a solution, though since skimr also still has changing APIs we can just use ::: as a hot fix.

@hadley We're going to submit to CRAN shortly so I wanted to make sure you had the update on this and are okay with what we did. You said to just copy, so that's what I did and we changed our license to GPL-3 so they match, which is good anyway for other reasons. Also I added you to the contributor list and mentioned you plus RStudio as the copyright holder in the LICENSE file. If any of that is not okay with you please let me know.

Now think this is out of scope for pillar; pillar should be mostly focussed on multi-column displays.
