Do you have the standard GTK About window or is patched downstream?

It's different in Cinnamon. The about dialog does not seem to use CSD (Something similar happens in KDE as well johnfactotum/foliate#466)

The about menu in other softwares (e.g. Cheese, Lollypop) look similar, but their buttons work correctly.

Keyboard shortcut window does not have buttons, so no issue.

I was able to reproduce by setting gtk-dialogs-use-header to False on GtkSettings.

Now I need to figure out why Licence button is showing up and Close button isn't destroying the dialog.

Fixed in Cinnamon. Close button works, and License button is not there anymore.
