I'm at devoxx now so I cannot replay smoothly.

Tell me quickly what's the reason of the requirement of separate distribution? 
Does
ivy like it better?

Mockito jar includes sources inside so IDE should display javadocs 
out-of-the-box +
users can navigate to mockito source out-of-the-box as well.
