AFAIK in haskell it's the same putMVar operation puts a value into the MVar but blocks if the MVar is already full.

In Purescript put also blocks until operation succeeds see.

If we do same here and someone doesn't want to wait they can just ignore the resulting promise.

There are 3 try functions there is inconsistency in how they failure to perform operation is communicated to user:

• tryTake throw exception
• tryRead throw exception
• tryPut returns false.

I think it would be better to pick one approach (returning value or throwing) and use that for all of them, as this would lead to less confusion.

i.e. either change tryPut to also throw and return void; or in tryTake and tryRed return something like Optional/Maybe.
