Hi Ram,

I already have cobol files & copybook available on HDFS and i tried to load the data into Hive tables as suggested by you. When i describe the table its showing all the fields, but when i tried to query it always fetches zero records. Can you please let me know how to get rid of this issue?

@MuraliKandimalla First please check the input file size on the hdfs. If the file size is non zero, u should be able to view it. If there is still an issue, please share the create ddl used, describe table output and file size. I will debug further

@rbheemana Thanks for the Info, my earlier issue is resolved and its due to file issue.
I have one more doubt regarding the mainframe files.
Do this code handles ASCII files with FB, if the ASCII file doesn't have any computational fields.
