Did you look at the stack and make sure React is defined?

from express-react-views.

Take a look at this

"dependencies": {
    "gulp": "3.8.x",
    "express": "4.9.x",
    "react": "^0.11.1"
  },
  "script": {
    "start" : "nodemon server.js"
  },
  "devDependencies": {
    "gulp": "^3.6.2",
    "gulp-autoprefixer": "^1.0.0",
    "gulp-concat": "^2.4.0",
    "gulp-concat-css": "^0.1.4",
    "gulp-minify-css": "^0.3.8",
    "gulp-less": "^1.3.5",
    "gulp-livereload": "^2.1.1",
    "gulp-rename": "^1.2.0",
    "gulp-uglify": "^1.0.1",
    "express-react-views": "^0.5.0",
    "nodemon": "*",
    "gulp-nodemon":"^1.0.0"
  },

What does you code look like? The top of your stack is telling you to look at views/index.jsx on line 3, column 20. I'm assuming the first 3 lines of that file look like this:

/** @jsx React.DOM */

var MyComponent = React.createClass({

Note: that's missing any assignment to React so it is undefined.

from express-react-views.

jenil avatar jenil commented on April 28, 2024

From your example, Here:

/** @jsx React.DOM */

var HelloMessage = React.createClass({
  render: function() {
    return <div>Hello {this.props.name}</div>;
  }
});

module.exports = HelloMessage

from express-react-views.

So do I need to add this line above ?
var React = require('react');

from express-react-views.

My bad, got it fixed, I think you should update your example.
Thanks!
