Hi,
I think this should belong to a "contrib" kind of repository, unless something like coffee-react-transform is integrated into an official version of react.
However, @zpao is really in charge here when it comes to decisions like this one.

I'm not sure what you mean. There's no real decision to be made here, I'm simply attempting to open a discussion about ways to interact with this transform in the context of Rails + React. Not asking for actual integration into this gem.
I assumed this would be an appropriate place for the discussion, but if you have another suggestion I'm open to it.

Ok :)
It's a good place to discuss this for sure! I just meant implementation of this probably won't fit here.
But, it looks like it's not a very hard thing to implement. You (or anyone else) should be able to get this working in a separate gem in one evening.
I'm super busy right now, but I would happily take on this otherwise! Maybe one day :)

Agreed. I may try the approach I mentioned above, as it does seem rather simple to do. If anyone has any input on this, I'd love to hear it!

Hey, if you're talking about the implementation, then just fork the code we have, or fork the ember-rails directly (we try to steal whatever we can from ember-rails). JSXTransformer works in exactly the same way, so it will probably suffice to just change extension names, and JS files which do the dirty work, Sprockets will take care of the rest. Let me know if you need to know more!

👍 would use. I'm digging React but I just can't quit CoffeeScript. Maybe I'll fork it and take a look...
