this was reported in the forum too. Let me recharge my car and find the right attribute.
Regarding locks&switches vs services: Yes, I would like to go with switches but the implementation is not that easy as the execution is async. This will take some time and is nothing that will appear in the next few weeks.

I have added an additional attribute precondNow to electricRange. This should get true if you used the service/app to activate precond
