It's just people bumping the issue. But you can clone my branch right now
and it should work for xcode4, though it's a bit behind the origin/master.
I haven't had a chance to test out the origial author's code yet myself.

Simple, fully functional Xcode 4 support was just merged down to master and tagged as RestKit 0.9.1. Please pull master or grab the tagged tarball and check it out. Full release notes will go out tomorrow morning

Both, the examples and my project build successfully wit 0.9.1. In the case of my project pulling the master wasn't sufficient, but I had to remove the submodule and go through steps 1-5 again.
