Update: I am getting this issue for all .com .net domains

Please upgrade, this was caused by a third party change and was fixed long ago. Also, you need to learn about whois referrals.

I see that last release v5.5.7 ,but it says I have the newest version(5.2.11)

/var/www# apt-get install whois

whois is already the newest version (5.2.11).
