Done. In the description of line continuation, I also added a sentence warning of the issue with array.load and list.add. This might avoid confusion for the beginning reader. It should be removed when that issue is resolved.

Can we reopen this issue? I'm sorry, I don't mean to jerk you around, but I've just committed the change that resolves the problem.

The short version is ~ works as a continuation anywhere (except in quoted strings, of course). Where I put "//" or // in description and examples above, it is now "~" or ~.

The longer version is that the line-merge/data-continuation character retains its special meaning for array.load and list.add. The descriptions and examples in the manual do not need to change. They show the tilde replacing a comma, and that still works, preserving backward-compatibility with existing programs. (If you choose to expand the example to show the comma is now optional, that's fine with me, but I don't recommend it.)

Good fix--I certainly don't feel jerked around. I fixed all the //'s I could find. Didn't change any code examples.
