All 10.x releases of `activerecord-postgis-adapter` specify `activerecord ~> 7.2.0` as a dependency. Due to how RubyGems handles pessimistic version constraints, ~> 7.2.0 only allows three-segment versions (7.2.0 through 7.2.x), but does not permit four-segment versions like 7.2.3.1. Rails 7.2.3.1 was released as a security patch (CVE fix for Active Storage), but bundle update rails cannot resolve to it because this gem's constraint blocks it: ``` activerecord-postgis-adapter (10.0.2) depends on activerecord (~> 7.2.0) activerecord 7.2.3.1 does not satisfy ~> 7.2.0 (only 7.2.x matches, not 7.2.x.y) ``` This affects all 10.x releases (10.0.0, 10.0.1, 10.0.2). **Expected behavior:** Users should be able to install Rails security patches (like 7.2.3.1) without being blocked by this gem. **Environment:** - activerecord-postgis-adapter: 10.0.2 - Rails: 7.2.3 (trying to update to 7.2.3.1) - Ruby: 3.4.7
