Decided not to implement in the end, because (typically) Debian and Ubuntu threw a spanner into teh works, because they spam their /etc/ssl/certs folder with 175 root CA certificates and intermediaries, which are hard to filter out without accidentally filtering out real certificates.

From checkbox4 (my test bed for new items to scan for)

[--] Checking /etc/ssl/certs for any SSL certificates present, please wait...
[--] Found 175 SSL certificates (full report in logs).
[--] Output suppressed as total is more than 25.

apache2buddy does log to /var/log/apache2buddy.log but if we have to add 175 lines on each execution, this is going to fill up the disks. So no.

Also, Plesk servers may throw up hundreds of sites that have SSLs, and as such will also spam the output and make it unworkable.
