When the process to be run stops (e.g. due to .filter() not matching), retry it instead of terminating.

• to avoid calling the actual method that creates the Operation
• to generate readable error output in case of a mismatch

When the process that is supposed to run completes, but yields an undesirable result, the retry logic should capture that and retry—either immediately or after the timeout (TBD).

The possibility that a process may stop at this step might be too noisy to track, especially given that a process can be terminated at any point in time by an internal or external failure.
