If there is a C++ version of ply, then I probably can just extend the Java scanner to be able to handle both. Aside from the language difference, i'm not sure that there would be much of a difference in implementation.

It's pretty much done, though I need to do some more testing. What criteria do we want to use with method arguments to determine match/not? In the Java scanner I simply checked if the python implementation was capable of recieving x number of inputs, nothing with regard to name or type.

We should validate type too, for sure. The ctypes stuff requires type information, so it should all be there already.
