Hi stefan,

I agree for a standalone RAM based system this can be a bit slow. If we want to increase the speed i will publish a library that can be used in big data systems. If we use the fill method for geohashes not completely overlapped by the polygon, we will have to check using topology which can again be on the slower side in large datasets. Thanks for reminding me this, will soon publish the library for big data systems.

I will add a spark udf to do this in an optimized manner and for large datasets.
