Do any of the packages you're installing via First Boot Package Install themselves include a command for restarting the machine? The reason I'm asking is that it sounds like the script running the package installation process is not reaching the part of the process where it removes the following directory:

/Users/Shared/fb_installers

My last package is a firstboot.pkg which has a reboot command after 60 seconds so it could be an explanation. But i don't understand, because i use the same last package with El Capitan (i didn't make any changes for now, because i wanted to try all my presets), and it was always working well.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Please try taking out the reboot command from the final package and see if First Boot Package Install now behaves as expected.

Hello rtrouton / ramuntcho,

Having the same issue in 10.12 Sierra. Mac keeps rebooting to the FBPI log screen, after 2-3 reboots it's done, but was not doing this before.

FBPI does a sudo jamf policy -event post-image script trigger. In that script I recently included some additional triggers to create 3 hidden local admin accounts.... but there is nothing in that script prompting a reboot. Like ramuntcho, the last PKG is the FBPI.pkg, and I do not have any reboot command that I know of, associated with that, where would that be? Thx in advance, j

@macguitarman,

Check your policies, one of them may request a reboot. Specifically, I would recommend checking to see if any of your policies have No User Logged In Action set to Restart if a package or update requires it.
