It actually does not depend on user. It depends on the browser. So if you are same user but using different browser, You will see subscribe button
from django-webpush.
Same for me. Maybe I'm missing something but I could not find code responsible for initial button state depending on subscription.
I've tinkered a bit here, which is replacement for webpush.js. Does the job for me, but needs more work.
