Hi @pmahoney,

Do you want to return an error in "before" middleware, skip the view and runs "after" middlewares?

Hi @savsgio, yes, that's exactly what I would like to do (either with middleware or some other means).

In before middleware you could change to

// Set the error response
ctx.ErrorResponse(....)

// Not execute the view
ctx.SkipView()

// Continue to the next middleware
return ctx.Next()

You must call to ctx.Next(), because if you return the error, you stop the request and send the response

Maybe you don't need to execute all code in the following middlewares, so you could set a flag like ctx.SetUserValue("fail", true) on middleware that fails and check it later when you need:

...

if ctx.UserValue("fail").(bool){
    return ctx.Next()
}

...
