Hi Pablo,

I believe you found a bug. The FFmpeg wrapper tries to determine the number of frames you will read based on the video metadata. If you pass an output rate flag to FFmpeg, then there is a mismatch between the expected number of frames and the number of frames FFmpeg actually delivers. This could easily be fixed in scikit-video by parsing for output rate changes and adjusting the expected number of frames in the ffmpeg wrapper. For now, your workaround using vreader is the way to go.

Thanks for reporting the bug!

Hi Todd,
Thanks for the fast answer. I'll work with vreader for now then. Also, if you think that's useful I can try to patch ffmpeg.py as you describe to correct this and send a PR.

Cheers,
Pablo.

A PR from you would be great! I'd complement your PR with a few test cases to make sure it works and continues to work.
