Scott Dawson's Projects
Documentation site for the Eleventy static site generator.
I generated this project with angular-cli version 1.0.0-beta.28.3. Vintage, to be sure, but a great way to learn Angular and showcase my 365 Day Draw project, too.
This project is related to my work as a remote work advocate and as the author of The Art of Working Remotely.
Emoticakes wanted a way to have customers configure a cupcake order based on pricing and options. This page lets customers put in an order date, add any number of cupcakes (in dozens) with cake flavors and frosting flavors, and send her an email with the request for a quote.
This project is a personal web site for my daughter, Elizabeth Dawson. It uses the Etsy API to pull in latest pieces (at build time) from her pottery studio, and uses a GitHub action to run the Netlify build at midday and midnight every day.
This project is a simple landing page for my independent publishing company, Knight Rose Press.
I created this pared back version of my final Ski Resort Finder project as a resource for anyone wanting to do this on their own. This demo map is super simple, including the ten highest peaks of the Oregon Cascades.
Ah, working remotely from a tranquil corner of your home. Is there anything better? Until the noises start, that is. Eliminating those is a key to mastering the art of working remotely. Yes, this is a parody of quality ambient noise generators like Noisli and Coffitivity. Stick around if leaf blowers are your jam ... we won't judge!
My daughter and son's piano teacher has given them scale assignments and I saw fit to write them down in a notebook all in once place. I created an online interactive version that shows the fingerings for each scale.
My personal web site, built with Eleventy. Learn about my running, writing, art, and special projects.
Converts three arrays of adjectives and nouns into a delightful random insult generator that would have thrilled the Bard himself.
We are a family of ski racers. I created a map-based way of discovering new ski resorts. Itβd be a cool way to visualize where they were, and whether they were included in popular pass programs like Ikon and Epic.
This project is a personal web site for my wife, Amy Dawson.
This repository was created as a follow-along companion for my Smashing Magazine article: How To Migrate From WordPress To The Eleventy Static Site Generator.
This project is a personal site to share my love of Taughannock Falls State Park with you. The park is practically in my backyard, and Iβm fortunate to be able to enjoy it year-round.
This project is a personal web site for my son, Xander Dawson.
