The project cards, Comments, activity layout...

The only differences I can honestly see here are very small - Namely:

  • Icons are kept (EDIT: on the tabs)
  • The size on the UI is bigger.
  • PFPs and usernames are displayed instead of "by (username)".

The first and third of those are unrelated to the layout itself. The UI is actually a bit more helpful, even if it's a bit weird with how big it is.

Layout is only the placement, not all of how the page (...well, specifically the studio modals and etc. appear in this case) appears visually. So, the addon does it's job like it needs to. It just returns the old layout, not transform the studio pages into exactly how they looked in 2.0;

EDIT: Also, this sounds more like "old studio layout addon doesn't make studio pages look almost identical to 2.0"; But that isn't what the addon is supposed to do. Only changes the layout (aka placement). CSS is necessary for that, but the scope of the addon itself doesn't extend to entirely 2.0-'ifying the studio page.
EDIT2: Also sorry for the excess edits, but even the addon description says that it's scope is mainly the layout (atleast judging from how it is worded). The way its styled (e.g. comments) is out of scope.

The project cards

You can disagree, but I personally think that's more styling than layout.
There's difference on those.

The layout here is unchanged and the same between both old studio layout and 2.0. The styling however, is different.

activity layout

That'd need SA to scrape it from tooltip or make an API request every single time it loads activity.

Note that studio comments look exactly like project comments, and studio activity looks exactly like the messages page.
There's also a "more items per row" addon.

I mean, there is this:
https://userstyles.world/style/11602/scratch-3-to-2
Some of the stuff could be modified (such as setting the colors even with theme changes).
Though it is not compatible with some Scratch Addons stuff, and I cannot accept studio invites with it on (it automatically adds stuff like stage on the left and bringing back the old location of the green flag)
