jasmine_rails/application.js won't compile because of missing prototype.js about jasmine-rails

So that I can better replicate this locally, what version of Rails are you using this gem with?

Rails 3.1.1.

Interesting. I've tried against 3.1.1 and 3.1.3 both with the generated jasmine.yml and the modified jasmine.yml in the README, and have been unable to repro. Not sure where to go from here.

I think the main question is if in these (fresh?) Rails apps you have access to "prototype.js" (through Sprockets). I think by default, you should not. Maybe you get access to it when you have the rails-prototype gem installed globally (i.e. in your current ruby's gemset), not sure about that. I don't have it installed globally, so I had to include it explicitly in my gemfile.

I agree. Not sure if Sprockets gives access to prototype.js but let's call an explicit require the solution for now then, unless someone else can replicate?
