I believe custom made helm chart provide advantage over using the library chart. As you can do the custom tweaks specific to the application in better way rather than generic way.

You can't think about all the possible ways that the users are going to use the chart, especially in the self hosted community. That's why library chart is very good because it can already provide all the possible usecases.

On a library chart you can also do very advanced stuff. Tell me what currently you think it's not possible to do due to the usage of the library chart.

Its not matter of possibility. But rather I say a matter of convenience. Thats what I believe

From my almost 4th year of using helm I haven't seen something more convenient than using a library chart where everything is handled for you.

I'm not sure what you really mean by "convenient" but in my opinion it's so much easier to not have to create all the manifests for a deployment, a service, a configmap, an ingress, the volumes, the specific things like the securitycontext and more.
