Remember that donation.active doesn't ever seem to be changed when acquiring new vessels (brought up in GENI back-end meeting). I'm going through the bug list and creating this bug if I don't see it!

donation.active signifies whether the donating node is up or not. This state is not changed anywhere inside of GENI code, its maintained and set in the node state transition daemons. In particular in /trunk/www/node_state_transitions/dbnode_checker.py script.

Eh, I can go either way on this. I think it's logical to tell them if we think the node we gave them is down.

The new seattlegeni currently does not indicate to the user that the node an acquired vessel is on has become inactive (unreachable by us). It would not be hard to make this information available, but we need to decide whether we want to add this to the myvessels page. If we don't care to add this info, then we can close this ticket.

We decided that we should indicate in the acquired vessels list when a vessel in that list is on a node which we don't believe is currently active.
