Thanks for your comments!

About the settings I think that the main thing is that there are not that many at the moment. The only project-specific setting that makes any sense as a global setting is the otp_dir and that is more or less already there. If there is nothing set for the project, EDTS will use the first erlang it can find on the exec-path. The project-specific otp-setting (like most things in EDTS) sprung out of a need here at the department where I work. We spend 99% of our time working in larger projects, in most cases with overlapping code bases, and some of those projects require different otp-releases.

This is also why there is no support for "non-project" modules yet. It's been on my list pretty much since day one, but no one has made enough noise about it :) It should be a pretty small matter to actually get it to work, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

About rebar I have thought about it in the past and I guess some small plugin to extract things like lib-dirs, compiler options etc. wouldn't hurt. At the same time I also had an interesting discussion with a colleague about figuring out the code-path on the fly depending on directory contents. Doing that shouldn't be very difficult either, but unfortunately there's only so much time :P

Anyway, I appreciate your input, it's nice to get some feedback!
