"Sleep timer" !== "Wecker"

Sleep timer == "stop playing after nn minutes"

Wecker == "start playing at HH:MM o'clock"

This is fixed now with f4705da . (Issue can be closed)

The present timeout time has a fixed increment by +10 minutes per click, and the clear button.

Here I suggest to have four buttons +5/-5 and +10/-10 minutes, if this is possible, and/or to have the increment step size programmable in the settings.

@segler-alex Isn't that implemented since a while? Issue can be closed then.

There is an "alarm timer" and a "sleeper timer".
The alarm is just a : make the most noise possible right now and saturate the sound for me
(I would like a nice wake up alarm with low sound going up over something like 10min to 80% volume so I wake up gently with some music/infos)
The sleeper timer can't be turned off, I want to be able to put the phone on radio, turn the screen off and let the radio play for hours without the need of interacting with my phone.

So yeah both are implement but not elegantly. (My point of view)
Do I need to open issues o are there any opened on those subjects?

@Zykino Do you mean this #102 ?

from radiodroid.

Zykino avatar Zykino commented on May 27, 2024

Yes exactly.
And also a "no sleep" option so I can leave the radio as long as I don't pause/stop it.

@Zykino duplicate of my #192

Allow the user to directly change a triggered "Alarm" status to normal "Play" (currently, you have to "Stop" and you have to "Play" the station. [Perhaps a bug?])

Zykino avatar Zykino commented on May 27, 2024

No I talk about the "Minuterie pour le sommeil" option (in French).
Just before the "Music Player Daemon" in the settings.

There is 1, 2, ..., 60min but if I let the 10 by default and do something else out of my phone the radio stop suddenly. I need a "no sleep timer".

Also what does the Daemon do? I can configure it but have no info on it (how to use...)

Wikinaut avatar Wikinaut commented on May 27, 2024

@Zykino There is no "no sleep" option. Just start "playing" a station, and it will play forever until either the battery is empty or your DSL/WLAN or GSM connection is interrupted.

if you by mistake set up a "sleep timer", you can click waste-bin icon, which is then shown, to delete that timer.

Make sure to use the latest code from github. This has a redesigned PlayerInfo page with a same-size waste-bin icon (same size as play/stop/pause/record buttons).

I think I mistaken the stop of radio with "sleep timer". It may have been a bug or not data received fast enough.
