Im using master (4296bb9) and i was able to run the generator just fine :x maybe try using :git in your Gemfile and not the gem itself

Same issue for me.

ruby 1.9.3
rails 3.1.3

I tried both rubygems.org v1.4.1 and git sources with bundler.

For anyone that might be stuck, simply add = require twitter/bootstrap to application.js and application.css to get this working without the generator.

Sorry for my late reply. Tested with Ruby editions (via RVM)

My current environment;
Ruby 1.9.3p0 (2011-10-30 revision 33570) [i686-linux]
Rails 3.1.3
twitter-bootstrap-rails (1.4.1)

everything (and generator) working for me.

Please re-install gem (from rubygems)
gem 'twitter-bootstrap-rails'

and please follow instructions described here

I met this issue again. It conflicts with bootstrap_sass. If you installed any gems depending bootstrap_sass, such as rails_admin, you will get the error.
