Are you referring to filename numbering (xls.version.js) or a comment in the file that indicates the version?

Both would be useful.

@xcapt the version number is contained in the source, accessible as XLS.version. The build script now updates based on the package.json version.

Should the versioned filenames (e.g. xls.0.6.0.js) be included in the main repo or hosted elsewhere?

@xcapt the version number is included in the source. As for the file name, I think the best approach is to keep it in separate directories (which is what CDNJS does: http://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/xlsx/0.4.3/xlsx.js).

Going forward, I will tag versions so you can access them easily

from sheetjs.
