Team's Response
Thanks for the feedback.
This is the intended outcome of the sort and list feature.
The documentation does not state that list will unsort the modules.
Items for the Tester to Verify
❓ Issue response
Team chose [response.NotInScope
]
- I disagree
Reason for disagreement: Firstly, this is a problem the user would face every single time they apply a sort command. A potential user may want to see their courses or deadlines in a time order and then go back to the previous order, but the application's sort feature is irreversible, i.e., the feature is flawed.
Secondly, the sort feature in its current state becomes unusable as a user with a decent amount of data would have their inputs permanently reordered each time they run sort. This makes the program more troublesome to work with. Moreover, the team does not state that they want to integrate this as functionality for future iterations, and therefore it should not be considered "Out of Scope".
❓ Issue severity
Team chose [severity.Low
]
Originally [severity.Medium
]
- I disagree
Reason for disagreement: The permanent nature of the sort function makes it very problematic for the end user. This drastically reduces the sort feature's functionality. If a user has many inputs, the sort functionality permanently modifies the ordering and the user is unable to get the previous ordering back. Not only that, this permanent nature of the sort is not mentioned in the UG either.
The tester, therefore, believes that this feature flaw of the sort functionality makes it much less usable and should be treated as a medium-severity Feature Flaw.
