@shyim this ticket should be reopened because the link I provided is the same version as the commit you mentioned. It's that one that still gives the error on the input-field schema.

Or is there another part of the code that makes this no longer occur?
To that seems not probable since the schema validation is independent of any other code, right?

in the issue you mentioned 6.5.1.1, the fix is only in 6.5.8.2 in newer. maybe thats the thing here?

That's indeed the SW version I'm using, but the plugins refer to the latest (master) schema on github: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/shopware/platform/master/src/Core/System/SystemConfig/Schema/config.xsd

So, that means the SW version I'm using is not important, right?

the reference in the config.xml itself is just for the IDE. It uses always the local copy of the config.xsd.
