doesn't work when screen off - for some users about pedometer

I have the same problems. In the notificationlist it sais it is running but no 
steps
is counted when the screen is off.

On my HTC Desire the same. Does not count when the screen is off.

I have the same problem -- which is a big one, worth fixing.  The EVO burns a 
lot of battery anyway.  I can't afford to have the screen on the whole time I 
am taking a long walk.

Please can you fix the screen off bug.
Before i got android 2.2.1 and it works perfect, but now have Android 2.3.4. 
and its doesn't work.
