Legacy IE8 issues about angular-timer

So apparently, IE8 doesn't have the trim() method. As a solution I included this in my page...

    if(typeof String.prototype.trim !== 'function') {
        String.prototype.trim = function() {
            return this.replace(/^\s+|\s+$/g, '');
        }
    }

Now this directive is IE8 compatible. Should I send in a pull request?
