Move files to the proper Trash about trash

Does the correct thing happen when you delete it through Finder?

This module just tells AppleScript to delete the path you supply:

trash/index.js

@sindresorhus Yes, removing via Finder moves it to /Volumes/OptiBay/.Trashes/501 instead of ~/.Trash.

Hmm, seems like a bug with the AppleScript bridge...

Would you mind confirming if both of these do the correct thing?

Oh boy; it turns out the ZSH shell I use has a built-in trash function that explicitly moves to $HOME/.Trash. Your package works correctly. Sorry!
