Regardless of whether you go with either Socket Mode or Request URL, sharing a single app among multiple developers can lead to the type of issue you're experiencing. Therefore, a recommended way would be, like you already do, to duplicate the local app configuration for each developer or testing environment (say, dev1, dev2, staging, etc.) to isolate the event delivery from one another. My recommendation is to use Socket Mode for the local dev apps for easiness while going with Request URL for staging and prod apps.
