Same here. There are no incoming messages, despite the topic is rightly configured and I can send text to those channels (I can assure the message is certainly sent because I see it in my Android device). However, I can't see messages from other people neither the joins messages.

just checked and I do receive messages, you can try running in debug mode (https://github.com/sm00th/bitlbee-discord#debugging) and see if you do receive them but they are not shown for some reason or you are not receiving anything at all.

@sm00th Thanks for your quick response. I ran bitlbee
using debug mode as you said and now I can confirm I do receive the messages (I can see them in content
of the the discord_parse_message
information). But for some reason I'm not receiving them in my irc client (irssi).

ok, so if you see them in debug output the problem is probably the way you join them, please make sure they are properly added the way described in readme's usage section (https://github.com/sm00th/bitlbee-discord#usage). I think I recall reports of issues when missing the '!' when adding channels.

I joined them using that notation and I didn't miss the "!" character. Actually I'm in 2 Discord servers and messages from one of them are received fine. The problem is with the other server, the more active one.

Ok, this is weird. Are you joining many channels at once? If you just connect to a single channel from the active server do you still miss the messages? Can you post the corresponding data from debuglog for one of the missed messages? (you can redact the message and names/ids)

Little bit late to the party, but are you sure you joined the correct channel? I noticed that if I spend too much time from doing "channel list discord" to actually adding it, then the index number changed because some of the discords either added channels or removed them. Look at the topic at the top to see if it matches your channel
