@sunaku, I agree with you, and in my opinion the rails/exception_notification repo should be removed once for all.
So far the note up there is what we have, and also you can always check for official urls here http://rubygems.org/gems/exception_notification.

Cheers

Why close this issue? I brought it up because I think the current detours (the NOTE in GitHub repository description and links from RubyGems.org) are not good enough. Let us eliminate the confusion altogether!

@smartinez87 please:

  1. Become a member of the "rails" organization on GitHub.
  2. Push the changes from this "smartinez87/exception_notification" repository into "rails/exception_notification".
  3. Delete all the files in this repository while replacing the README with a note saying that your stuff has moved to "rails/exception_notification".

In summary, since the "rails" organization deems you as the official maintainer of this code, they should very well give you the keys to the official repository of this code. It's poor manners on their part for not having done so already.

Thank you. 👮

@sunaku, what you ask for is far beyond my reach, so if you do want that to happen, you're welcome to talk with DHH or someone in the Rails Core team to make that happen.

Will do, thanks for acknowledging my request.

Sent GitHub message to @dhh. Hoping for the best. :)

Well, there's been no response from DHH, so I guess he has better things to do. 🎁

I suppose it really doesn't matter what repository the official code lives in, so long as official gems are released on a timely fashion from that repository. 👮
