I think the package could - potentially - contain every kind of data. For example (from the top of my head), you might want to ship some images that are used by SP to present a VNF or an NS in a colorful way. The current package structure would support that without any changes.

@mbredel mmhh... ok, so these items would be kept only within the package file, not needing any further processing? Note: the package file is not being stored at the moment of writing, it's decomposed ,with only metadata being stored in the Catalogues, or the reverse. In this implementation, those artefacts are lost.

Yes, I know. I am just in favor of having the package descriptor as flexible as possible so we don't have to change it, if we want to ship more files than just the NSD and VNFD. Unless there is a good reason to do otherwise ....
